Greetings from London

Jamal, son of Moroccan parents in Holland, is just an average teenager - he is well liked at school, is intelligent and starting his first romance with Sanne, a girl from his class. During a school trip to London, a couple of men put a package into Jamal's hands on the bus. Jamal discovers a bomb inside and immediately alerts the bus driver. Both Jamal and Sanne are arrested and taken into custody. While Sanne is released after one night, Jamal stays a suspect in this possible act of terrorism. He is being interrogated every day and confronted with prejudice and the fear of terrorism. The unjust accusations and endurance from the police leave their marks. Jamal's optimism changes into disbelief and helpless anger when he starts to realise he is a suspected terrorist because of being a Muslim.

In a tightening atmosphere, Joyce Pool gives insight in the complex situation in which prejudice and wrong accusations alter the life of an innocent teenager.
